Objectives:
Current activities:
| Positive Pathway/ Activity Agreements | Within a twenty-week Activity Agreement with Connexions, this project will provide five days of activities including two days of work experience and short training courses as required. |
| NextStep | Independent 30-minute information, advice and guidance sessions on learning and work. |
| Local Employment Solutions | A programme aimed at moving participants into employment. The programme will offer a range of “routeways” into local employment opportunities that will be themed around key employment sectors in Cornwall such as “working with people” and “construction”. |
| Learning Plus and Cornwall College | Delivery of a range of learning programmes across a wide range of topics, including ICT, Assertiveness, Arts, Cookery and Skills For Life. Delivery can be tailored to suit individual or group needs. Limited support available towards childcare and travel expenses. Delivery available across Entry Levels up to Level 2. |
| Skills for Life | Addressing the basic skills of those at Level 2 and below. Learners will receive a one to one initial assessment which will result in them being referred to a provision to meet their needs. Programmes are available to support both employed and non employed, and delivery can occur in a range of settings from community venues to the work place. |
| Healthy Neighbourhoods Partnership | Supporting the most vulnerable individuals to gain access to health services and encourage them to make positive changes to their lifestyles. |
| Advice and Guidance | Our General Advisors provide free, confidential, independent and impartial advice on housing, debt and benefits. A key part of the service and in many ways the unique selling point is the ability of our Advisers to meet with clients in their homes. |
