Judith Hann – Chair
Judith is CEO of The Poly in Falmouth and has a background in economic development – especially in the voluntary sector. She is a Trustee of the Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum, Director of Torbay Social Enterprise Network, Chair of the Cornwall Board of The Fredericks Foundation and a Member of the Institute of Economic Development.
Mark is a resident of Redruth. He has worked in Central Government departments within regeneration organisations and in private sector technology firms. His career in Cornwall includes Camborne Pool Redruth Regeneration Company and Plymouth University. He now works for City of Birmingham University. A Trustee since 2011.
Derek is a retired Headteacher with lots of experience in Surestart/Childrens Fund, the Childrens Centres and the Common Assessment Framework. Derek is a director of ACE multi academy trust and Chairman of Bodmin Beacon Ace Infant and Nursery School. He is also a member of the Berryfields Residents Association in Bodmin. Annie runs a family owned business Camel Valley Vineyard, near Bodmin. She has previously served as a member of Bodmin Town Council, North Cornwall District Council and as a governor for St Petroc’s Primary School. She has also been a volunteer advisor with North Cornwall Citizens Advice Bureau for the last 10 years. A Trustee since 2006.
Kelly is an active resident from the Bodmin area. As a Mum of three children she wants to see a better future for them and the local community. She is a Community Champion and is qualified as Level 3 Information Advice and Guidance and an Adult Tutor. A Trustee since 2014.
Alan Milliner MBE
Alan is Co-Director of White Gold Cornwall CIC, which works with vulnerable young people across Cornwall. The project was developed while Alan was a police officer seconded to the Cornwall and IOS Youth Offending Service and has developed into an independent CIC. A Trustee since 2014.
Jerry was a Democratic Services officer at Cornwall Council (formally Kerrier District Council) and enjoyed a career in public sector finance. He was also a partner in One and All Sports, a well-respected local sports supplier. He is currently Business and Operations Manager at Redruth Rugby Football Club. Joined the Board of Trustees in 2015.
Katie has been a major success story of the CN4C Learning offer. She started as one of our young learners, progressed onto the Raising Aspirations programme and has now secured a place on her full degree. Katie won the title of Young ESF Learner in the 2015 National Learner Awards. Joined the Board of Trustees in 2015.
Glenn is Economic Development and Culture Manager for Cornwall Council. He is also a Board Member of the South West Investment Group (SWIG), a not-for-profit organisation which for the past 25 years has provided loan finance to small-to-medium sized enterprises. He brings financial, procurement and contracting expertise to the Board, in the hope that it will contribute to our continued impact on raising aspirations, living standards and fairness for all in Cornwall.
Andrew is a freelance artist and illustrator. He has a background in education development, with a CV that includes Head of Arts Faculty at Cornwall College and Quality Assurance Manager and Curriculum Team Manager at Halesowen College. He is also a Volunteer for the National Coastwatch Institution.
Joanne works for Cornwall Council as Commissioning Manager within Education and Social Care. She has a long term commitment to working with people facing disadvantage. This has mainly been with a housing focus and with women facing violence. Her professional experience includes work for Shelter and Canterbury Cyrenians (managing an 8 bed hostel for homeless people). She is a Management Committee Member for Penwith Housing Concern and West Cornwall Women’s Refuge and Vice Chair of Cornwall Inter Agency Domestic Violence Forum.
