Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change provides free-to-access business support for social enterprises and business start-ups in Cornwall.
We can also provide 1-1 coaching for business growth to any company, CIC or social enterprise registered within the past three years.
Social enterprise is a way of ‘doing business better’ by creating a business idea that earns enough income to cover the costs of running the organisation so surplus cash can be reinvested into doing more projects for social good.
Our three-day course, ‘How to set-up a social enterprise’ covers the fundamentals of running a successful social enterprise from identifying who will buy your products and services, to defining how your activities will benefit others.
Any social enterprise registered in the past three years is eligible for a further twelve hours of 1-1 business development coaching.

The 4Work new business support programme is designed to support those living in Camborne, Pool, Illogan or Redruth to set up their own business, CIC or charity. 4Work provides 1-1 business coaching to help you get your business or charity off the ground.
If you have an idea for becoming self-employed, you could access at least 12 sessions before you set up your business and a further 12 sessions once your business is registered.

If you’re looking to grow your business, you need a framework that will help you grow over the long-term because continuous improvement is just that – there are no quick fixes.
This free online workshop will look at ideas that you can adopt as a small business to develop a more sustainable market, attract and retain customers (and staff) and enhance your reputation as a local business.
Our ‘Seven steps’ course is an introduction to the type of fully-funded 1-1 coaching and support that is available through The Engine Room.
