The Food and Cornwall programme aims to ‘Create food wealth so that no-one in Cornwall goes hungry’. CN4C is an active participant, providing support for project development as well as a practical distribution base.
The programme works across environmental, economic, social and political systems in Cornwall. It engages leaders and key local champions to increase skills and access, reduce food poverty, rebalance food surplus and eliminate food waste. We support action across communities and life-stages and are focused on tackling the greatest challenges to health and wellbeing.
Food and Cornwall is building local momentum and commitment to Food Wealth through our systems, including a focus on:
•Listening to Local Voices
•Cooking and Growing Skills
•Emergency Food Access including Food Banks
•Food in Schools
•Hospitals and Care Homes
•Food and Older People
•Sustainable Food Production
•Distribution and Surplus
•Research, Evaluation and Learning
