The idea of Mindful Art Practice is to use art making prompts that encourage focusing on the here and now through various creative processes and themes. Mindfulness involves stillness, gentle focus, repetition, momentum and relaxation. The course will allow opportunity for participants to relax and be grounded through simple meditation and visualisation exercises supported by creative expression in a wide range of mediums. Benefits may include confidence in creative expression, self-discovery, supportive group sharing and spontaneous play.
This course will run on Fridays starting Friday 13th January 2017, here at The Elms in Redruth. We do ask for a one off donation of £15 towards the cost of all materials used.
Courses are fully funded if you are unemployed and in receipt of benefits. We can offer subsidised and funded places on a case by case basis for some people who are in employment.
