Young People

At Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change, we offer learning and work experience programmes for young people who may not be able to attend school or college but want to find a path towards their future.

Our programmes are specifically designed for brave young people who may be facing difficulties and require additional support to achieve their goals. We works closely with these young people to provide them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.

Compass

A special programme designed to support young people aged 15-24 to build confidence, develop essential skills and empower them to make informed choices about their education and work based on their interests and strengths.

Compass is all about helping young people aged 15-24, including those who might need extra support because of their special educational needs or difficulties with their emotions and mental health. Our aim is to help you become more confident, learn important work skills, and discover the different job opportunities out there. We want to make sure you can make smart choices about your education, work, and training based on what you enjoy, what you're good at, and what jobs are available.

With Compass, we want to open your eyes to new possibilities. We'll introduce you to lots of different options you might not have thought about before, like the idea of working for yourself. We'll help you understand your own strengths and give you information about all the different jobs that could be right for you. Our goal is to make sure you're well-prepared and less likely to be without a job for a long time.

We understand that everyone is different and has their own challenges. That's why we're here to support young people who aren't currently in school, work, or training (sometimes called NEET), or those who might be at risk of becoming NEET. We pay special attention to young people with special educational needs or difficulties with their emotions and mental health. Our programme is all about helping you overcome any barriers and reach your full potential.

Join us and let's start this exciting journey together. We'll help you find your way and guide you towards a bright future full of opportunities and success.

This programme is funded by the European Social Fund.
