What do we do? We support people who want to make a change for the better. We challenge the system where we see it is broken. We challenge people to change their lives to achieve their potential. We work with people and organisations to make Cornwall fairer.

Every day we see that the current system is unfair and that people do not have equal opportunity to meet their basic needs and make their lives better. As well as being morally unjust, this inequality costs us all millions that could be better spent on solutions to fundamental problems.

Our work covers three themes:

- activities to help provide a "Better Life", including community get-togethers and activities to support personal health and wellbeing

- activities to help make people "Better Off", including providing new skills and support for employment.

- activities that aim to make "Better Sense" of community resources and government policy. This includes encouraging new approaches to economic growth, clearer thinking around issues of equality and diversity and better use of food

We work with communities, groups and individuals to achieve the change that they want. We work across Cornwall from Saltash and Bude down to The Lizard, St Just and Penzance.

The Elms is closed due to COVID-19.
