There isn’t one route through education that works for everyone. At CN4C, we get to know each young person, find out what matters to them and build learning around their goals.
Our education offer includes TOAST, our post-16 programme; individual EOTAS packages; mentoring
for young people in schools; and enrichment groups. Depending on the young person and the provision, learning might involve qualifications, practical projects, work experience, time in the community or building the confidence to take a next step.
Young people help shape what they do here. We work alongside families, schools and other partners to make sure the support around them makes sense and can change as their needs change.

TOAST Post-16 Learning
TOAST is for young people aged 16–18, and up to 25 with an EHCP, who need a more personal approach to education. Learning can take place at our centre, at home or in the community.
We build each programme around the young person’s interests and goals. It may focus on mental wellbeing, confidence and independence alongside qualifications, practical projects, work experience and plans for the future.
School Mentoring Packages
We work with schools, young people and their families to agree mentoring that responds to the young person’s needs. Together, we decide what the support will focus on and what progress would look like.
Sessions give young people time to build a trusted relationship, talk through difficulties and work towards manageable goals. We keep families and schools involved so the support connects with what is happening at home and in education.
EOTAS
Our Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) provision supports children and young people whose education needs to take place outside school. We plan each package with the young person and those who support them.
Learning may happen at home, in our centres or in the community. It can bring together teaching, practical activities and opportunities to develop confidence and independence, with the pace and support adjusted to the individual.
Rise & Thrive
We run two Enrichment groups: one for young people aged 10–14 and another for those aged 14–19. These groups give young people a place to try new activities, follow their interests and connect with others. Groups can include creative activities, practical projects and experiences in the community.
Young people help shape what happens. The focus is on taking part, building relationships and discovering what they enjoy.
